Part of Team GB at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and 2015 European Championships, Cassionato also helped to win the CSIO5* Furusiyya FEI Nations Cups at La Baule, Rotterdam and Rome. He has also had top ten placings at CSI5* shows in Doha, St. Tropez and Cascais.
Cassionato’s sire is the popular stallion Cassini I, successfully ridden by Bo Kristoffersen, who had placings in the Grand Prix of Münster, Kiel, Neumünster, and Hamburg. They were also members of the winning Danish Nations Cup team in Helsinki and represented Denmark at the European Championships.
Cassini I also sired the 2006 WEG champion Cumano and Eurocommerce Berlin, who contributed to the Dutch team gold medals at the 2006 World Equestrian Games and 2007 European Championships.
Cassionato’s dam, Perle Holstein, is by the brilliant Selle Francais stallion Quidam de Revel who helped France win team bronze at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. Quidam de Revel was sixth individually at the European Championships at La Baule in 1991 and had countless Grand Prix and Nation’s Cup success throughout his career.
Cassionato’s combination of showjumping talent and excellent bloodlines make him an obvious choice for breeders of sport and competition horses. He is available for fresh/chilled semen with UK and EU frozen semen also available. Semen is priced at £1000 + VAT for up to 3 doses.
Cassionato has achieved top ten placings at the CSI5* shows in Doha, St. Tropez and Cascais. He was part of the British team under Michael Whitaker at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, 2015 European Championships and helped Britain win the CSIO5* Furusiyya FEI Nations Cups at La Baule, Rotterdam and Rome.
