Why take chances? Take some of the lottery out of breeding and use a stallion that is proven. Proven in his own ability, results that can be checked and verified online, no exaggerated or false claims and also proven to reproduce that in his offspring.
Amour G is so much more than a lovely colour with great markings. In fact to me, his colour is irrelevant, more a bonus. His CV stands up to comparison with many of the top solid coloured stallions in this country.
Amour G probably has the best conformation of any coloured stallion available today. He was awarded 9.75 out of 10 by evaluators at the BEF Futurity as a 3 yr old. (In fact no marks were less than a 9 and he also scored 9.75 for his paces)
They say the way to evaluate a coloured horse is to imagine him as one colour. Would you still use that stallion if he wasn`t coloured? Honestly? Top graders have said that it wouldn`t matter what colour Amour G was, he`d still be a great horse. Match that conformation with superb elastic paces, proven rideability, temperament and youngstock winning affiliated classes ridden and in hand, qualifying for multiple championships time and time again, why wouldn`t you use him?
Amour G has the sweetest temperament imaginable and full of presence, he turns heads where ever he goes.
He has three correct, elevated paces and the most amazing length of rein.
Amour G has both Olympic dressage and showjump horses on both sides of his pedigree.
His sire, Goshka Ringo, is a maternal grandson of the great dressage sire, Olympic Ferro and on the sire line, Purioso.
Purioso produced three Olympic sons including Bonfire and Cocktail, the sire of Jazz, the 2006 KWPN stallion of the year.
Purioso is himself a son of Furioso, producer of a long line of International and Olympic showjumpers.
Amour G`s dam line is equally illustrious. His dam is a double branded Danish warmblood mare by the great May Sherif.
Despite competition from imported German and Swedish horses, May Sherif won his performance test for the Danish Warmblood Society in 1975.
In 1988, he had two of his progeny competing at the Seoul Olympic Games, Andiamo, then ridden by the Swiss Otto Hofer, and Matador with Kyra Kyrklund.
He has an impressive BD record, winning the majority of his tests with scores to 78.8% at Novice to Advanced levels. He finished in the top 10 at the British Dressage National Championships. Judges comments include Stunning, expressive horse, Super talented, and Impressive!
Truly versatile, he has showjumped successfully to Newcomers level and schooled cross country proving bold yet sensible.
